Performance award ceremony among for Co-operative
Movement in Sri Lanka

It is true that every organization in every country in the world has realized the importance of developing the productivity to reach the apex level of performance in any organization.

Therefore, while drawing special attention to efficiency, fruitfulness as well as high quality of services with developing strategic identification can be observed in an organization.

Although the various organizations in Sri Lanka implement performance award ceremonies coverings Public Sector as well as Private Sector, there is no indication of such programmes held in respect of the Co-operative Movement of Sri Lanka.  Specially the developing & improving of performance among Co-operative Movement can be expected by this type of award ceremonies as because there are guidance and training programmes prior to this type of award ceremonies. This too will reflect a supreme enforcement in improving & up grading the standard of the productivity.      

Objective to the Performance Award Ceremony ::

• Introducing two concepts is performance and the standard of quality for the improvements of Co-operative Movement.  
• Introducing and implementing of selection criteria depending on guidance for high standard of performance.
• Providing benefits of competitiveness by approaching into the Co-operative systems among the Co-operative Enterprises.
• To obtain maximum use of assets through guidance, until acquiring modern performance, from the identification of the path of Co-operative movement.
• Guidance to use managerial methods in an efficient manner.
• Encourage by state sponsorship as well as state recognition to build up higher performance Co-operative Enterprises.
