Welcome to National Institute of Co-Operative Development
The Centre for International Cooperation and Training (CICT) of the National Institute of Co-operative Development (NICD), Sri Lanka, in collaboration with the Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management (VAMNICOM), Pune, India, has organized an International Training Programme on Dairy Development through Cooperative Business Model with the sponsorship of the Government of India. The programme is being conducted at VAMNICOM, Pune, India, from 10th to 18th March 2026, with the participation of Chairmen of Boards of Directors, General Managers, and officials attached to dairy cooperative societies in Sri Lanka. The training programme aims to enhance the knowledge and professional competencies of participants in the field of dairy sector development through cooperative-based business models, while providing exposure to successful cooperative dairy systems and management practices adopted in India. The programme includes lectures, interactive discussions, case studies, and field visits, enabling participants to gain practical insights into dairy value chain management, cooperative governance, and sustainable business practices. This initiative serves as an important platform for knowledge exchange and strengthening cooperation between India and Sri Lanka in the field of cooperative development, while contributing to capacity development within the cooperative sector.
